Integrel E-Power 18 DE powers “Vingilótë” for sustainable and luxurious boating

Edwin, a seasoned engineer and Balance 526 catamaran owner, was seeking a power solution that could efficiently run essential and luxury onboard systems while minimising environmental impact. Initially using a Balmar alternator, Edwin faced significant challenges with reliability. Approach

Edwin connected with the Balance Catamarans and Integrel Solutions teams to design a power system that met his needs for efficient energy use, onboard comfort, and sustainability. Integrel E-Power was installed, positioned to maximise engine efficiency and reduce fuel consumption while supporting Edwin’s “always-on” approach to battery power. The Integrel system was configured to generate ample power for heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, communication systems, and more—all while eliminating the need for noisy, fuel-consuming generators.

Since installation, Integrel E-Power has provided Edwin with a reliable, high-output power solution that aligns with his goals for efficiency, luxury, and reduced environmental impact. Even in colder climates where solar power isn’t feasible, Integrel E-Power harnesses energy from the engines efficiently, charging a 400Ah 48V battery bank that powers Vingilótë’s extensive onboard amenities.
