Integrel Solutions receives the Overall Dame Award 2018

The team at Integrel Solutions are incredibly excited to announce that they have been confirmed as the Overall Winner of the DAME Design Awards 2018 at the METSTRADE show in Amsterdam.

Our generator replacement technology, Integrel E-Power, created by UK-based Triskel Marine, was shortlisted for the award alongside 63 innovative products from some of the most prominent names in the marine industry, including Garmin, Harken and Yamaha.

Since 1990, the DAME Designs Awards have been one of the most sort-after industry accolades, focusing attention on the art and science of marine design in all aspects. Described as ‘the most significant marine equipment competition of its kind, anywhere in the world’, it is judged by a panel of the top boat, interior and industrial experts, alongside leading naval architects, with nominees divided into categories including functionality, the practicality of use and innovation.

Triskel Marine Managing Director Ken Wittamore said, “We are over the moon at receiving the overall DAME Award. We were up against some of the biggest names in the industry, and to have been selected not only as the winner of our category, but the overall winner is a dream come true for us.

“Integrel E-Power has been the result of over 10 years of development and testing. I am immensely proud of the team and everything they have achieved in bringing this game-changing product to market.”

For Cornwall-based Triskel Marine, Integrel E-Power is the latest in a series of bespoke solutions for the marine industry. Receiving this award marks the culmination of several exciting months since the launch of Integrel E-Power, a system proudly designed and built in the county.

Having been nominated for several awards in both the DAME Design Awards and the Boat Builder Awards 2018 at this exhibition, it was clear that the judges recognised the innovation and potential of this outstanding new product. Winning the Machinery, Propulsion, Mechanical and Electrical Systems and Fittings category saw Integrel go on to scoop the main overall award.
