Integrel welcomes Phil Gutowski as new US and Caribbean representative

We’re proud to welcome Phil Gutowski to the team as our new representative for the United States and Caribbean. Phil brings a wealth of hands-on experience and deep technical expertise from across the marine industry. Having worked on everything from charter boats and workboats to one of the world’s largest motor yachts, Phil’s journey has taken him from maritime college to marine systems, with a unique detour into the world of software development at two top-tier U.S. startups. His return to the marine world led to the founding of BoatRx, a US-based company specializing in marine electrical and HVAC system design and installation.

A passionate advocate for energy-efficient technology, Phil and his team at BoatRx were among the first in the U.S. to work with Integrel’s award-winning E-Power system – the game changing 48V energy solution that eliminates the need for a separate generator onboard.

Phil joins Integrel Solutions as we continue to innovate with the recently launched Integrel E-Drive—a fully integrated hybrid system combining up to 30kW of energy generation and 40hp of electric propulsion for dual engine vessels in a seamless, automated package.

A recognised voice in the marine industry, regularly contributing his insight to conferences, publications, and award programs, Phil has served three times as a judge for the IBEX Innovation Awards, including in 2019 when Integrel earned top honors for Electrical Systems. At the IBEX Education Conference, he shared his expertise as a speaker, leading seminars on high-efficiency air conditioning and hybrid-powered yachts. His writing regularly appears in SAIL Magazine, for whom he also acted as a judge for its Best Boats program—honoring the Integrel-equipped Balance 442 Catamaran in 2023.

Phil and his wife Lisa live full-time aboard their 42-foot sailboat, Electric Passage, as they cruise the Eastern Caribbean. Along the way, they’re known for hosting the Dinghy Disco—a floating dance party that invites cruisers to raft up around their boat for DJ sets powered by their advanced 48V system.

My experience in boating has taught me that most owners are looking to optimize three things when they invest in their boats: comfort, fun, and performance. A resilient power system is essential for the activities that keep us coming back to life on the water. I’m thrilled to be working with Integrel Solutions as we help bring that experience to more boaters across the US and Caribbean.
