The Integrel E-Power system harnesses the spare energy created during the normal operation of a vessel’s engine, producing up to 18kW of energy (in a dual system) that is intelligently stored in a 48V lithium battery bank for later use. The stored power is then used to generate electrical energy where required, not only powering heavy power-draw systems such as 48V bow thrusters and winches, but also 12V domestic items like fridges, instruments and other onboard equipment and systems, while allowing the engine to run at the best possible performance levels. The system also improves the fuel efficiency of a propulsion engine by up to 25% and reduces fuel consumption while providing an alternative or additional power source to the traditional diesel generator option. The system manages electrical power generation, storage, conversion and distribution in one package.
