In addition to being crowned Overall Winner of the DAME Design Award at the end of last year, Integrel has gotten off to a flying start in 2019 with another prestigious prize.

Popular US magazine SAIL has recognised Integrel as the Overall Winner of the 2019 Pittman Innovation Awards. Named after their long-time Technical Editor Freeman K. Pittman, who passed away in 1996, these awards are presented annually to outstanding new products in the sailing industry.

The team of judges make it their mission to scour boat shows around the world in order to discover the products that represent the absolute pinnacle of design and innovation.

It was a unanimous decision by the Overall Winner judges Matt Wise, Senior Manager of Services for West Marine, and Gerry Douglas, Chief Designer and Vice President of Catalina Yachts. Panellist Matt Wise summed up their thoughts by explaining that “This is something that will change the way people sail and use their boats’.

Integrel offers sailors the chance to replace their existing generator by utilising the spare capacity of their engine, and in turn, simplifying the onboard systems. Our advanced technology generates up to 9kW of electrical power, without compromising the engine’s performance. There is also the added benefit of fuel savings of up to 25%.

We’re incredibly proud of Integrel, and all of the team who have worked incredibly hard over the last few years to help bring this ground-breaking product to market. It’s wonderful to know that Integrel is also being recognised throughout the industry as leading the way in transforming the future of sailing.
